Welcome to SitterLink. We give babysitters a simple page to manage their own bookings, and help families find and book sitters they trust. By creating an account or booking through SitterLink, you agree to the points below. We've kept them in plain language on purpose.

🛡️ Safety — please read

SitterLink is a scheduling and booking tool, not a childcare agency. We do not run background checks, verify identities, or screen or vet the sitters and families who sign up.

Because your family's safety comes first:

Meet and interview any sitter yourself before leaving your children in their care, and check their references.
Share emergency details — allergies, medical needs, emergency contacts, and house rules — directly with your sitter for every booking.
Use your own judgment. SitterLink does not supervise bookings and is not present for them.

Sitters: you're responsible for the care you provide and for representing your experience and certifications honestly.

What SitterLink is (and isn't)

Sitters on SitterLink are independent — they are not employed, supervised, trained, or guaranteed by SitterLink. We simply provide the booking page and tools that connect a sitter and a family. Any babysitting arrangement is strictly between the family and the sitter. SitterLink is not a party to it.

Your account

Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Keep your password private — you're responsible for activity on your account.
Sitters must be at least 13. If you're a sitter under 18, please set up and use your account together with a parent or guardian — they help you agree to these terms and handle the subscription payment. We don't allow accounts for children under 13.
Families must be 18 or older to create a family account and book sitters.
Don't misuse the service, post false information, or use it for anything unlawful.

Payments & cancellations

Babysitting payments go directly between the family and the sitter (for example by Venmo or cash). SitterLink does not process, collect, or hold those payments.
Subscriptions: sitters $15/year, optional family accounts $25/year. Families start with a free 30-day trial.
Cancellations are free with 48+ hours' notice. A $10 fee may apply for cancellations within 48 hours of a booking — this is set and collected by the sitter, not SitterLink.
We may change subscription prices in the future; we'll give notice before any change affects you.

Privacy

What we collect

The details you give us: your name and email; sitters' optional phone, photo, bio, and rates; and booking details (dates, times, and anything you add to a booking). We keep basic technical logs to run and secure the site.

How we use it

Only to run SitterLink — showing sitter pages, taking bookings, and sending booking confirmations, reminders, and payment notices you've asked for. We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing to parents on anyone's behalf.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make SitterLink work — our hosting, database, and email-sending providers — and only as needed to operate the service. A sitter sees the booking details families send to them; booking details are hidden from the public.

Your choices

You can view and edit your information in your account, and you can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see Contact below). We keep information only as long as needed to run the service or as the law requires.

Content you post

Bios, photos, references, and reviews must be truthful and yours to share. Reviews should reflect a genuine experience. We may remove content that's misleading, abusive, or violates these terms.

The service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep SitterLink reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, SitterLink isn't responsible for the conduct of any sitter or family, for the quality or safety of any babysitting, or for disputes between a family and a sitter. Your arrangements are your own.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SitterLink grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, when it matters, let you know.
